Dr. Alan Nathans, D.C.

Jacksonville Back Doctor Alan NathansA graduate of Life University (Marietta, GA) and in private practice since 1999. I’m proud of being honored with the Family Practice Excellence Award for my dedication to family health care. My credentials include:

  • Lecturer & Chiropractic Innovator
  • Certified, Metabolic Typing Advisor
  • Certified, Functional Diagnostic Nutritionist
  • Certified, Bio-Nutritional Care related to autism spectrum disorders
  • Accumulation of hundreds of post-graduate hours in the field of Functional Medicine

From a young age, I realized I felt my very best when I was helping others, which led me to recognize I wanted to contribute the most to the world through involvement in a health-related field.

I pursued Chiropractic Medicine after an experience that changed my own life as a teenager when I found myself in excruciating pain and unable to move. My father said, “I’ll take you to my Chiropractor in the morning”. I didn’t even know what a Chiropractor was, and at that time, I didn’t care. After a few chiropractic adjustments, I functioned normally, and this experience guided me into my career.

Many years after that first chiropractic adjustment, I decided to go back to college at age 28 and I graduated from Chiropractic school in 1999 and moved with my wife to Jacksonville, FL, to begin my professional practice.

My three daughters – Rebecca, Arin, and Morgan – each received their first adjustment on the day they were born. Like other children worldwide, they continued to receive chiropractic wellness care, setting the stage for a healthy spine for future growth and development. Through caring for my patients and my own family, I’ve seen the amazing results that Chiropractic Medicine can provide for every stage of life – infants, children, teens, adults, and the elderly.

Today, Alan Nathans Family Chiropractic serves the second, third, and fourth generations of families whose adjustments are routine instead of waiting for the pain to set in or become a crisis. Focused on serving people, we educate our community on how to live active, healthy lives without limits now and in the future.

Please know, I’m grateful to you for visiting our website, and I look forward to helping you and your family to live your best 100 Year Lifestyle now!

Nicole Rettig

I’m a Kentucky native with a Bachelors in Business Administration.  I have a professional background in Finance, Marketing, Sales and Customer Service. Having a passion for helping others along with Health & Wellness, I decided to try my hand as a Chiropractic Assistant and fell in love with the holistic approach to healing & helping people.

While living in Hawaii for two years, I stayed connected with all of my Kentucky friends by starting a Facebook group with over 200 members called “Just For The Health of It!” Each month I would host a new group challenge with emphasis on things such as physical fitness, nutrition, hydration, self care or stress management.

When not at work, I love any outdoor adventure.  Camping, Hiking, Backpacking, Mountain Biking and Kayaking.

My husband & I are now full time RV’ers after his retirement from 22 years service in the Navy.  We love having new scenery wherever/whenever we want! We’ve traveled cross country from west coast to east coast and so far Colorado and Utah were our faves!! Our two boys (Smokey & Bandit) have been living their best doggy life getting to enjoy all the sites & adventures.

I am excited to recently settle here in Jacksonville where I can make a genuine difference in the community as a Team Member at Alan Nathans Family Chiropractic!

Annah Fontiane Lancaster

Annah Fontiane Lancaster

Hello! My name is Annah Fontiane Lancaster, I work as a Chiropractic Assistant at Alan Nathans Family Chiropractic. I wear many hats in the office,  as I am the support person and I help anywhere I am needed!

After I received my 5-year booster vaccines in 2007 I started to develop symptoms that rapidly grew and got worse as I got older. I became very very sick with many terrible debilitating symptoms. Doctors didn’t have answers and their only suggestions after running tests and blood work were to send me to pain management, a psychiatrist even said that all my symptoms were “all in my head”. They suggested a feeding tube that I would have for the rest of my life. Knowing none of these options were even on the table for me we turned to a holistic approach for healing.

After 14 years of pain and suffering, I finally received the healing that I needed by combining Nutrition Response Testing with Chiropractic care. I give all the praise and glory to God for healing my body. I went from lying in bed all day in pain to a perfectly happy and thriving 19-year-old. Before I started working here, I was a patient.  Within a minute of walking through the doors here at Alan Nathans Family Chiropractic, I instantly felt peace. Dr. Nathans and Dr. Thompson both made me feel like a real person with real problems. They showed me how to start true healing with chiropractic care and the mindset of the 100 Year Lifestyle.

Going from patient to team member I am so blessed to be in a position where I can share my story and ultimately use it to help others.

As I work, I will be in school to get my certification as a Holistic Practitioner and further my education. My prayer is to help others experience true healing the way I did and to live their best and healthiest life now.

Will White

Will White

Hi! My name is Will White. I was born and raised in Detroit Michigan, where I grew up the youngest of five children. I grew up learning to love the outdoors and the world around me. Even at a young age I could be found exploring, camping, or hiking in the great outdoors. I spent as much of my free time exploring the world around me as possible. I have been involved in a number of competitive sports and events in both before and while in college. These competitions including mixed martial arts, the global robotics art festival, policy speech and debate and competing at the highest level in mens rowing.

My whole life I have always been fascinated by our bodies and the way we that they were created. As soon as I was able to, I began studying human anatomy, physiology and the way our bodies move. In 2018 I earned my first certification as a private trainer and began working with clients. From this point onwards I developed a passion for helping people become happier, healthier, and fitter in all aspects of their lifestyles.
Since 2018, when I began exploring the many areas of health, fitness, and human potential. I have continued working hard to learn as much as possible about our bodies. In 2019 I was recruited to row for Jacksonville University on the mens crew team. That fall I matriculated into the undergraduate Kinesiology program with a minor in Business Administration. Over the years I have had the privilege and experience of working many jobs in the health and fitness industry. My first job out of high-school was working to prepare athletes to compete on the American Ninja Warrior show. Since then, I have also interned for a CrossFit gym, a physical therapist, managed multiple retail locations, and have spent countless hours analyzing and collecting data at the biomechanics and exercise physiology research labs on campus at Jacksonville University.
I am currently working hard to earn a Masters degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Management. I plan to further continue my education after completing my time at Jacksonville University by pursuing a doctoral degree in a field where I can continue to provide value and healing to those around me.
